  6.       GSR is a Global Search and Replace program. It allows you to
  7.       select a group of files to operate on. You can then specify what
  8.       text to look for, and what text to replace it with. Your search
  9.       can be either case sensitive or not, and you may either view
  10.       each occurance, to verify the change, or have GSR automatically
  11.       make all replacements for you.

  13.       GSR will operate on any size file.
  14.       
  15.       Probable uses are:
  16.  
  17.       Rename an existing variable across many programs.
  18.       Change a copyright notice.
  19.       Change a client name when you are recycling code.
  20.       and many more.....

  22.       Searches can be case sensitive or not.
  23.       
  24.       You can cause the search and/or replace string to be read from
  25.       a disk file. This allows you to search for and replace binary
  26.       or text strings made with your choice of editor.

  28.       In any case, if GSR makes changes to a file, the source file
  29.       will be renamed with the extension .GSR. Subsequent global
  30.       changes will increment the .GSR extension, with up to 99
  31.       changes kept on any source file name.

  33.       ie: .GSR .GS1 .GS2 up to .G99

  35.       This is going to create a lot of backups, but is necessary due
  36.       to the tremendous power of this program to cross multiple files
  37.       with unlimited changes.

  40.       Hardware Requirements : IBM compatible computer. 512k RAM, 
  41.                               2 floppys or floppy/hard combo.
